Overview platform of the Congress Palace

From the Central market, I headed down the street Ponsa Map (Carrer d Pons Icart) in the sea. After a couple of blocks, I came to a large square that is the roof of the Palace of congresses and exhibitions (Palau First i de Congresso de Tarragona).

From the roof of the Palace, you can view the railway station of the city, beyond which you can see the forest of masts of the Royal yacht club (Reial Club Nàutic de Tarragona)

The building of The Congress Palace itself is remarkable because it is built into a rock mass that forms a natural ledge. The walls of the great hall do not have any decoration and are made of natural stone, which gives the audience an original look, and the roughness of the rocks provide good acoustic quality. This suggests an analogy with a similar structure in Helsinki - the Temppeliaukio Church. In total, the Palace has 14 auditoriums of various sizes, allowing you to hold any public events - from art exhibitions to concerts of classical music.

Of the three escalators, only the top one was moving, and I thought, this is a mess...everything is like ours...or they save money in Europe, of course, especially since it is a holiday day and there are no souls on the streets. However, as soon as I stood on the path, the escalator began to move, gradually gaining speed. after I got off the flight, the next one started up in the same way, and the lower one gradually stopped as well. I was touched to the core by this concern for people, while the city authorities did not forget about saving. Maybe this is my subjective opinion, but I believe that Spain is the most comfortable and comfortable of all the countries I have visited. Well, except that it can be compared with Norway...although in terms of living standards, these countries are not nearly equal.
